  1. Your camera’s exposure metering should actually compensate for the polarizer. If it doesn’t, there’s a chance that you use a linear polarizer but should use a circular one. Linears might throw off your camera’s metering. Also if your camera allows it, you could reduce the in-camera contrast processing.

  2. Boris, this is one of the best explanations on the difference between linear and circular polarizers that I’ve seen. Can I use that for the library?
