Colour Spaces

Definition

There are different Colour Spaces. The most familiar in Photography are RGB and CMYK:

RGB CMYK
Additive Colours Space Substractive Colour Space
Red, Green and Blue = White Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black

While all Colours in RGB-Mode are added to white if added, CMYK will be substracted to Black.

I don’t want to go too much in detail here. There is a nice, detailed article about it at Wikipedia
