Chris and Monika take the trip to Leukerbad and the Gemmi Pass, both located in the Swiss Alps to do some winter photography in the snow. Come and take the trip together with us, including the ride on the Gemmibahn cable car, that’ll lift us up over 3000 ft in just a few minutes. And of course Chris has some snow photography tips ready for you in this video.

I like the video - looks a lot like great vacation and the quality in HQ mode is really great. Nice pictures and a nice setup although you are really the only one I know that goes to this area in winter without skiing…

  2. Chris says:

@Christian It’s either skiing or producing video.. you have the choice :)

Looks like a great place to spend some solid days this winter. Jealousy ensues!

Wow… Nothing better to do than writing “Dolor Ipsum” out of your memory?
(At least is seems like that :P, but don’t scare me it isn’t really from memory, is it?)

Want such a cam too. But no money at this side :( Video quality is great as expected. But a recording with a little more movement would be cool, want to see the rolling shutter in action :S

Hey really neat show. I was looking at that panorama in the video and wondering about the dynamic range. It looks awsome. I had expected to see the persons face darker, right next to teh sun. Also the detail in the snow, but still good color in teh blue sky. Has something been done out of camera, Id love to know more.

Have you considered doing a video tutorial on processing where you make available the orional and finished image for people to try an get teh same result. I am curious with some of the great pictures you have on flickr, if it is processing or if the picture is just amazing to start with out of the camera.
