tfttf226 – Expensive Lenses

Find out about photo positions, learn about what separates expensive pro lenses from “normal” ones, help an iPhone programmer to write a depth-of-field calculator and if you’re a lurker (yes, I mean YOU!) it’s time for you to come out of the closet!

Your 2 action items for the week:

#1 – Send your favourite podcaster an email letting them know you appreciate their work. It’ll make them feel better and it’ll make you feel better.

#2 – Take a picture. Now! And if you want, share it on flickr or on the tfttf forum

    Hey Chris,

Just saw the new podcast up, thanks! Been waiting to hear the latest news, and oddly enough, I may have a DOF calculator program that may be useful to Ben. I’ll email him, but to anyone else, a programmer at our local photo club has already designed one. Come check it out under the our Resources tab, at the heading “Articles/Podcasts/Programs”. A direct link is here: SCPG Articles, or all the free resources can be perused at the main page: http://www.scphotogs.com

Hopefully he will be able to modify the DOF calculator to his ends on the iPhone.

What was the website you recommended? Sounded like kdh.com, but that leads me to something called searchfusion.

At this site you can find the great Apple Widget Depth of Field calculator. Now if we can find out how to run Widgets on the iPhone / iPod Touch, we’d be done!

At this site someone made an Apple Widget for Mac OSX. Now if someone can make it run on the iPhone / iPod Touch we’d be set! http://www.i360.tv/DOFC_widget_en
