I never thought to do this. I’ll have to give it a shot next time I’m out with the long lens — It’s such a pain in the butt to drag a tripod around when you’re just going out for something less than a serious shoot.

Just a comment on the video production itself.
The front camera shots always look bluer and more washed out than the side camera. It also does not look to be in focus.
I’m not sure if you have the option to balance the color on the two cameras but it could be worth a try.
I know you pride yourself on high production values so I figured I’d mention since it is pretty noticeable.

@Todd: i think that is because the front-cam is the build-in iSight of his iMac. The side-cam is DV-Cam which is of course much better than this little Gimmick inside the Mac
Not sure if there is much to compensate - but i’m curious what Chris could figure out though… every video-podcast is getting better than the one before, very impressive!
Ah, well if it is a built-in web cam, it’s pretty decent quality considering.
