My Podcast Alley feed! {pca-f9f1c99781d051e1d189f0b2c9b811e4}Some time next week - probably on Tuesday or Wednesday - we’ll switch the RSS feed of TFTTF over to the PodShow Network. This doesn’t mean anything for the web site, for the forum or for any of the other parts that you can reach using your web browser. Everything will stay as it is!

The place where you might see a short one-time hiccup is your podcatcher:

  • If you receive TFTTF via iTunes (that’s most of you out there), make sure it’s set to only download the latest show. If you don’t know what that means, just don’t worry about it, chances are you’re already set up the right way.
  • If you are one of the 4% of listeners who receive TFTTF via Juice Receiver, there might be some help here at the Juice support forum
  • If you listen to TFTTF directly from the web site, nothing will change for you.

Technical background: the feed will be switched over at the feedburner level, e.g. no URLs will change. But as the source will come from a different RSS creator, it is very likely that the GUIDs of the individual feed items change. Your podcatcher will think they are new episodes because it mostly looks at the GUID and therefore might trigger re-downloads. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about that other than warning you upfront, sorry.
