Tips from the Top Floor News update!!

It seems I misspelled “bulletin”. Guess that’s what happens when I get to work up a show image on the weekend. I’ll try harder next time.

EEK. That is really really really terrible. So sorry to hear that. I sort of knew how this felt when our video camera was stolen in last April. Nothing as bad as what has happened here. So sorry Chris.
Oops typo. "…stolen last April in India." *
hey chris,
i am a LONG TIME listener - and i have never contacted you or anything before, never gone on the forums, nothing.
BUT,
todays podcast made me REALLY want to contact you and let you know i’m hurting with you.
even though i am all the way down in australia, i wanted to tell you that, for what it’s worth, my prayers are with you chris…. and against the mongrels that stole your stuff!!
i am hurting with you chris.
peace

Sad to hear about your losses. I got my planner book stolen out of my car about 20 years ago, with a lot of things not backed up, and I felt truly aweful, so I can definitely relate. And the 5D! ouch! I hope you had that relatively nicely insured!
That’s terrible news, Chris. Is there any way that listeners can donate to you so you can replace your equipment? Like donate by Paypal? I have been listening to your show since the very beginning and would be glad to donate some cash to help you get back what you lost, and I’m sure a lot of other listeners would too.
So sorry to hear this news Chris As somebody who also recently got broken into and lost their D70 as a result, I can completely appreciate how horrible you are feeling at the moment My thoughts are with you.
I think with all the people that have listened to this podcast and to help make sure that crhis doesn’t go under with his new bussiness by having to purchase all that equiptment once more. Wouldn’t three dollars from every person cover his loss? Small price to pay for chris to keep going strong. Listener insurance seeing as he hadn’t yet gotten his bussness insurance up.
I’m really sorry to hear about the robbery, Chris. I too recently had an SLR stolen while taking pictures overseas. Everyone kept telling me I should be thankful I wasn’t injured, but it was little consolation when I had to tell and retell my story first to the police, my friends and coworkers. Good luck finding the stolen items, and be sure to let us listeners know if there is anything else we can do to help!
Chris, I feel terrible for your losses and hope your shout out to the community to watch for your lost items has a positive outcome. Don’t let this incident curtail your creativity, smarts and initiative — those are qualities that can’t be stolen!
If you’ve been on the forum, you will know already that we’re working on a way for listeners to contribute to help Chris replace what was stolen. More details as soon as they are firmed up, so stay tuned!
