Chris, I’ve been in that same situation many times with cows, traffic and landscapes. Don’t worry they are usually just curious. Hope you are okay with that electric fence.

What field recording device were you using to capture you audio when you visited the Black Forrest and the five cows? Did you also use a external microphone? If so, what type of mic? Did you need to boost levels back in your perch up on the top floor?

it was a small HP iPAQ rz1710 - the built-in mic sounds amazing if you set the recoding quality up a notch from the default.

Again you continue to inspire me. Not to mention make me laugh
You sound exactly like I am thiking most times while out taking pictures.
Lots of time I am with my wife and she gets a bit impatient with my fiddling all the time, but I still have fun.
To date I have not been doing a lot of post processing, maybe a little extra contrast or brightness but that’s about it. Your PP notes are great and have inspired me to do a little better at that part of my pix.

jayjay, I had the same problem with iTunes on this podcast and some of the older ones I missed. I’ll try them again later, but just wanted you to know you’re not alone with this glitch.

Chris, great podcasts in general. I’m relatively new to photography and have lots to learn. I appreciate your keeping things clear and helpful, even for inexperienced photographers.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble downloading the show. I’m currently using a free hosting service (archive.org) host the files, and usually they are quite reliable, and with a daily bandwidth of almost a terabyte I can’t host them on my own web server. If there’s a problem, you should try again at a later point in time.

Fantastic show Chris! I thoroughly enjoyed your encounter with the cows (and the electric fence :). The accompanying gallery on your site is a perfect complement to the soundseeing experience. Without the pictures, it would have left a bit of a void. Well done.

The only piece of feedback I was *going* to provide, was that I would really like to know some exif data about the shots you were taking. But, low and behold it was all right there in the gallery. Your so good. Keep up the great work my friend.

Fun - fun - fun!

I hope your camera and pda survived this shocking shoot! Remember both are but mini computers and are very susceptible to high voltage spikes.

This show had me smiling the whole time and I broke out laughing (sorry) at your encounter with the fence. Love these sound seeing tours.
